Music Video Update

After around three days of editing, I think I have finally completed my music video. I am really proud of how it all turned out and hopefully looks good to others.

At first I wasn't quite sure if I would enjoy this module, because it is not something I was looking to go into in the future. After this module, however, I have come to find I rather enjoy editing and making videos, especially watching the finished product back.

The difficulty with editing and using the software was finding the right features to use and what would look good in the video. I also had many ideas from what I'd seen on professional editors work, but it was finding out how to use them, where to find them and how to incorporate these ideas into my video. There were other factors that had to change about my music video as well. The video is a lot different from my original idea. This was mostly because when I was directing in Robin Hoods Bay, the idea in my head changed and I wanted to create more of a fun, 'home-movie' sort of video. I thought it would look more natural as a finished product and I had a new vision in my eyes. As well as this, originally I wanted to film at a concert but didn't manage to get any good footage as it was cut short. This also had to change my music video.

Other than that, I found it more fun than difficult placing clips and editing to the song. I found it quite easy to arrange and fit the piece, which I didn't think I would be able to do when we first began the module.

In the future, I think I will be using Premiere Pro for personal editing, but could develop into something more. I want to learn more about the software and perhaps could use my knowledge for my next two years at University. It could be used even after then if I keep working at it...
